Essential Curriculum

Working from an essential framework related to our Powerful Learning approach, Richmond Primary is committed to building capacity through the provision of professional development to our teaching staff. This contributes to a teaching culture of openness to new ideas and preparedness to change. It also helps ensure we offer the most innovative and engaging teaching methods to our students.

Our essential curriculum covers the core areas of learning including:

Student Enrichment

In addition to core areas of learning, Richmond Primary School offers a range of student enrichment programs to stimulate, extend and excite young students. These include:

  • Investigations – our play-based learning program in Grades Prep – 2
  • School camp (grades 3/4 and 5/6)
  • Interschool Sport (grade 5/6)
  • School play (written and composed by resident Performing Arts teacher, Stu Cooper)
  • Student Art Show

  • End of Year Celebration performance

In addition Richmond Primary School caters for the needs of working parents and offers a Before and After Care program, which provides structured activities in a relaxed environment for your child.
