Phew—no wonder I’m exhausted when I look at the calendar on my wall!
ANZAC Ceremony
On Monday, Russell and I will have the privilege of accompanying our school captains to the Shrine of Remembrance. There, they will join students from both primary and secondary schools across Victoria to honour and commemorate ANZAC Day—a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who have served our country.
As part of the ceremony, our school captains will lay a wreath on behalf of our school community. This wreath has been generously donated by Glasshouse Flowers, and we are sincerely grateful for their support.
It is a meaningful opportunity for our students to be part of this important tradition and to help keep the ANZAC spirit alive.
Invitation to Join the School Council
This week, we held our first School Council meeting for the year. I’m pleased to share that we now have the capacity to welcome additional members to our council.
If you are interested in volunteering your time or would simply like to learn more about what being on the School Council involves, I’d love to hear from you. Please feel free to visit me in the office or reach out via email at megan.dell@education.vic.gov.au.
Working together for our children, your involvement can make a meaningful difference in our school community.
Annual Report to the School Community
Later next week, our Annual Report to the School Community will be available on our school website for your information.
This report is released annually and provides an opportunity for us to share the school’s achievements, highlights, and progress with our community. We encourage you to take some time to read it and celebrate the collective efforts and successes of the past year.
Just keep running, just keep running…
When you get to my age, the thought of running long distances is something you tend to avoid… but not when you’re young and full of excitement!
Luckily for everyone, our school cross-country is happening next Friday. It’s always a great day of fun, energy, and friendly competition.
The schedule for the day—so you’ll know who is running when—will be published on Compass very soon. Stay tuned!
That’s all from me this week.
Stay safe. Stay healthy. Stay happy. And remember to be kind to yourself and others.

Election Day BBQ (3/05/2025) - Volunteers Needed
Dear RPS Families,
Good news! Despite the ongoing building works on our grounds, we’re still a designated polling booth for the upcoming federal election. This means we can fire up the Webers and cook up some delicious Democracy Sausages to raise funds for RPS.
As with any fundraising event, our success depends on your involvement. Please consider signing up for a shift to flip burgers and snags, baking some tasty treats for the cake stall, or helping with setting up or packing down. We know Saturdays can be hectic with sports and other family commitments, so any time you can spare is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your enthusiastic support!
